Most pediatric dentists graduate among the top of their dental school class to have the privilege of receiving an additional two to three years of pediatric-based residency training. Dr. Higgins received a combined three additional years of training at Denver Health Medical Center and Children’s Hospital Colorado. He is honored to teach future pediatric dentists as an adjunct faculty at Children’s Hospital Colorado Pediatric Dental Residency Program. Dr. Higgins also voluntarily completed a rigorous board certification process by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Board certification helps ensure only the highest quality of oral care is provided to patients. Because board certification is difficult, time-consuming, stressful, and expensive not all pediatric dentists are board-certified; however, Dr. Higgins recommends seeing only board-certified pediatric dentists because they have shown a commitment to excellence and lifelong learning.
Dr. Higgins grew up in the Valley and knows the value of seeing the same provider over long periods of time. Mountain Valley Kids Dental is a single office owned and operated by Dr. Higgins, which ensures only the highest quality care is provided. Other offices will often delegate certain dental procedures to dental assistants, but Dr. Blake places all restorative materials himself to the ensure the quality your child deserves.
